Walkthrough[ | ]

Reporting to Apollo[ | ]

After my attack on the Korvax factory, the Sentinels came, just as Apollo promised. Now I must find out whether our theories about the portals are true...

The player must first exit the Korvax Manufacturing Facility and, after dealing with the alert triggered by the end of Ghosts in the Machine, return to space to make contact with Apollo. The lifeform will report having recorded "signal flares" erupting from the planet's surface and will suggest that the Monoliths found on planets may be connected.

At this point, The Space Anomaly will update, allowing the player to discuss Apollo's plan with Nada and Polo.

Investigations[ | ]

NMS Glyph Monolith

Interaction with the third Monolith

Artemis Portal Error 16

Portal error

Signal flares erupted all over the surface of this planet when the Sentinels attacked. If I trace them, I might uncover the secrets of the portals.

The player must perform a starship scan, then visit and activate the marked Plaque. They will witness some glyphs and receive the first of three parts of a story involving the Traveller and Portals; however, using the plaque will also trigger a 1-star Wanted level.

Performing a quick scan will mark the plaque of an ancient ruin which the player must activate to witness more glyphs and receive the next part of the story. Once this second Plaque has been activated, scanning a second time will mark a Monolith which the player must activate in order to witness the last set of glyphs and receive the final part of the story.

Now that the player has all the required glyphs, they must, after scanning a third time to reveal its location, visit the planet's Portal and activate it, then pass through to whatever lies on the other side. Unlike normal Portal usage, the player will not need to manually specify any glyphs, nor will they need to charge the Portal to activate it.

The player will find themselves at the Portal of an Exotic planet and will have an opportunity to wander around briefly before their surroundings turn to white and they are teleported to an Atlas Interface without any starships in sight. The player must use the Atlas Interface to interact with The Atlas.

During the conversation, the player will have the option of performing a diagnostic on the Atlas or wiping the system. Though the player must commit to one choice or the other, both choices will teleport the player to a distant planet within the current galaxy and place their current starship approximately 500 units away from their position.

Aftermath[ | ]

NMSArtemis Grave First Traveller

The grave of Artemis

The portal took me further than I could have ever imagined. I saw the ATLAS itself. I am now a long way from my ship, and even further from anyone I know.

The player must reunite with their starship. Upon arrival, the player will find that its Launch Thruster is damaged and must be repaired in order to proceed. Once the player boards their starship, they will receive a transmission and will need to travel to its source, a Traveller Grave on another planet belonging to Artemis. Activation of the grave will conclude the mission.

Once the player has repaired their starship, The Space Anomaly will update after they leave the planet's atmosphere, allowing them to share their portal experience with the Space Anomaly's denizens.
