Aizawa is a planet in the HUB-V-158 Todoroki system.

Summary

With moderate temperatures and a lack of aggressive predators, this planet is ideal for settlement and exploration in survival mode. The planet is rich in aluminum, much of which has taken on a greenish tint as a result of chemical reactions with the groundwater. This distinctive metal is known across the galaxy as “Aizawa Tin”. Mining operations of aluminum deposits below the water table may be hazardous to interlopers without adequate oxygen supplies. Aizawa is also home to one of the largest bird species in the Rento Expanse, the Ida.

Aizawa lies in a three-way co-orbital resonance with Kaminari and Ayoama (together called the Todoroki Triplets) and shares a similar climate with each. Kaminari and Aizawa also have an extremely similar geologic makeup, leading scientists to speculate that they may be the remnants of a much larger protoplanet which was fragmented by a collision with another object early in the development of the Todoroki system.

Atmosphere and climate

With daytime temperatures averaging 2.9 °C, falling to a mere -24.4 °C at night, visitors can comfortably survive an entire cycle on Aizawa with only a single Shielding Shard. Occasional heatstorms are to be avoided, if possible.
