Arapani is a star system.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Arapani is a trading star system on the outer rim of the Delta Quadrant in the Euclid galaxy.

The system is under control of The Contingency and is under investigation for strange sentinel activity. It is supervised by Lieutenant Aryanjian aboard the space station. Due to the ongoing presence of the peacekeepers, the security level is HIGH!

The space station Contingency offers visitors and customers access to emergency supply depots and an enhanced workshop full of more supplies. Further, a small resupply of nanites is available. Every free charge of nanites contains information about wanted criminals and dangerous anomalies. All visitors are advised to report anything they come across to keep the universe safe.

Planets & Moons[edit | edit source]

  • Mehul Anmi is close to its sun, yet the protective atmosphere is dangerous to visitors. Acidic rain with 51.3 Hammett envelopes the planet at all times. This only gets worse during storms, which get fed by the massive amount of toxic water on its surface.
  • Arapani 2 is already by itself an irradiated wasteland with an average of 10 Rad during the day. During storms the alpha radiation adds to it and reaches up to 30.5 Rad. As if this terrible fallout from an old conflict wasn't bad enough, the sentinels on this planet have taken to hostility like their kin nearby. Why they began to attack is unclear, but reports from their relays and blackboxes imply they went on a killing spree before. The Contingency cannot ignore a mass uprising of sentinels, even when it is hidden below deadly fallout.
  • Arapani 3 is part of the local sentinel uprising and part of the reason for the system's quarantine. If it wasn't for the sentinels, the cold planet with its average -63.2°C during the day would be mostly unremarkable.
  • Arapani 4 is also part of the local sentinel mass uprising. Unlike the other two however, this planet is close to the habitable zone and barely falls short. With 34.2°C during the day, but shocking -54.3°C at night, it qualifies as a desert or badland on any other Gaia world.
  • Arapani Prime has become a local outpost for The Contingency as it and the space station surround the sentinel uprising. As a lush world, it is a perfect candidate for visitors, traders or settlers. Its lackluster fertility does not distract from its oceans. It is a world with an eerie beauty.
  • Nichul Naba is the last planet of the system. It is even colder than Arapani 3 with an average of -68°C, but it can still serve as a temporary hub for resource extraction.
