Battery is a base building product.
Summary[ | ]
Battery is a base building product that stores excess generated power. It can supply power to a base's electrical grid when the generators are offline.
Game description[ | ]
Highly-efficient energy storage units. Connect to a power grid, and onboard power management circuits will automatically draw down spare capacity to charge its cells.
When the grid attempts to draw more power than is currently supplied, the battery will automatically deploy power to make up the shortfall.

Build[ | ]
Battery can be built using a blueprint and the following ingredients:
Magnetised Ferrite x60 + Condensed Carbon x100 → Battery
Power distribution[ | ]
When connected to an electrical grid, a Battery will store excess power from generators such as Solar Panels. A Battery will charge up to its maximum capacity of 45,000kP as long as it is fed excess power.
If the grid's power generators go offline, such as when using Solar Panels at night, a Battery will discharge its stored power into the grid. Each Battery will discharge power up to a rate of 50kP until it is depleted or the generators come back online.
Interacting with a Battery displays power grid information, including the current level of charge (in kP), and the amount of time it will take for the battery to charge or discharge. Note that there seems to currently be a bug in which the discharge timer increases, rather than counting downward, when the grid is running off of Battery power.
A battery may have a maximum of 6 wires connected to a single port.
