Summary[edit | edit source]

Black Hole Roulette takes advantage of the random location exit function of NMS and when combined with the Pilgrim Star Process results in truly intergalactic travel.

Black Hole Roulette is a standard operating procedure for the Alliance of Galactic Travellers and practiced in the following way:

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Setup a waypoint to the destination, You can do this by Using a Portal to the destination and using your discoveries page.
  2. Find a System with a Black Hole, You can ask Nada for one.
  3. Land on a planet and setup a save point.
  4. Get back in the ship and go through nearby Black Hole.
  5. Check Gal Map. If you're close enough, you're done. Else, continue.
  6. Join a random game using your save. When you load in, check the map and another Black Hole will show up near you, go through it. Go to step 5.

Cheating Debate[edit | edit source]

There is intense debate over the use of Black Hole Roulette process and many consider it cheating, while many others regard it as a key element that makes NMS enjoyable. The choice to use it is yours.
