Carbon is a resource.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Carbon (C) is a resource used in recharging and one of the fuel elements for refining.

Game description[edit | edit source]

The building block of all organic life. Of critical importance to space travelers, as Carbon is used to recharge mining equipment.

Source[edit | edit source]

Carbon mining in action (Atlas Rises)
  • The Mining Laser will harvest Carbon from trees, plants, and all other forms of vegetation. Can be mined from flora.
  • It can be found as a secondary element in some minerals.

Carbon can be refined using a Refiner with the following ingredients:

Exploit[edit | edit source]

Net-Positive Refining Loop:

  1. With a Medium Refiner/Large Refiner, place in 50 Carbon and 50 Condensed Carbon and refine those into 1 Carbon Crystal. (Total cost: 150 Carbon)
  2. Place your newly crafted Carbon Crystal on the left-side by itself, and refine it into 150 Condensed Carbon, effectively doubling your starting resources (Can be refined down into 300 Carbon)

Once the player has Portable Refiner and Medium Refiner/Large Refiner, they can produce Carbon and Condensed Carbon for free.

This can also be done with only a Portable Refiner but with less yield.

  1. Refine 68 Carbon in Medium Refiner/Large Refiner to produce 34 Condensed Carbon.
  2. Place down the Portable Refiner and recharge its Fuel Inverter with the 34 Condensed Carbon.
  3. Pick up the Portable Refiner to receive 100 Carbon.
  4. Repeat steps 1 to 3, to produce 32 Carbon per cycle.
