Game description[edit | edit source]

A processed metal alloy, created in a Refiner from the stellar metals: Copper, Cadmium, Emeril and Indium.

The rarer the stellar metal, the more Chromatic Metal it will produce.

This valuable metal is used in the creation of many advanced technologies.

Infinite Chromatic Metal[edit | edit source]

As of NEXT 1.52 (version confirmed for PC/PS4/Xbox) it is possible to get an infinite amount of Chromatic Metal using 1-2 Large Refiners, Copper/Cadmium/Emeril/Indium, and existing Chromatic Metal.

  • In the first Refiner put Cadmium/Emeril/Indium as the first resource and Chromatic Metal as the second resource. This will use one of each to generate 4 of the first resource.
  • In the second Refiner put the first resource into the first slot. This will give you a varying amount of Chromatic Metal based on its ratio. (Copper - 2 : 1, Cadmium - 1 : 1, Emeril - 2 : 3, Indium - 2 : 4)

An example starting with: 1 Emeril and 1 Chromatic Metal

  • 1 Emeril + 1 Chromatic Metal => 4 Emeril (4 Emeril and 0 Chromatic metal at this stage)
  • 2 Emeril => 3 Chromatic Metal
  • Overall result: 2 Emeril and 3 Chromatic Metal

Important notes:

  • Technically only one refiner is needed but having two makes it quicker to be doing both conversions at the same time.
  • Make sure not to use up all of your starting resource (Copper, Cadmium, Emeril, Indium) while converting into Chromatic Metal.
  • This is also a way to get infinite Copper, Cadmium, Emeril, or Indium.
  • This does not work with the activated versions of each resource.
