Cukrona Tau is a moon in No Man's Sky.

Summary[ | ]

Cukrona Tau is a moon of the planet Mejic 16/02 in the Gormler XIX star system.

This system can be found in the Aslees Boundary region of the Eissentam galaxy on the PS4 version of No Man's Sky universe.

Alias names[ | ]

All Original: Cukrona Tau
PS4 Current: Cukrona Tau

Discovery[ | ]

Cukrona Tau was discovered on 12 August 2018 by explorer roytheodd.

Moon Type[ | ]

Cukrona Tau is a scarred globe whose surface is sometimes brown, sometimes bronze, and sometimes orange. High clouds cast swift-moving shadows over the bumpy landscape. Odd foliage and mineral deposits reach up from the surface, but nothing that implores a passerby to stop. It would be easy to simply get a quick photo of your Starship with the triple rings of Mejic 16/02 as a backdrop and then fly into the sky. It would be easy to dismiss this entire place.

Like the planet that Cukrona Tau orbits, though, this moon is an explorer's delight. There is always something on the Analysis Visor here. There are things in the ground and things that float and a wide variety of minerals and resources. As long as you can tolerate the radiation there is something to discover. The radiation is perpetual though, measuring 7.0 Rad at all times of day and night and with a daily radioactive supercell pushing it to 11.2 Rad. A base level Exosuit has about five minutes to explore before it needs to take shelter and to recharge.

Points of Interest[ | ]

There are a wide variety of points of interest on Cukrona Tau. Discoveries include all manner of antiquities and colonial outposts, as well at least one crashed freighter.

Beacons[ | ]

There are at least three Save Beacons on Cukrona Tau. The first two are a pair only 275u apart – a short walk – with one at the portal and its mate at the nearby trading post. There is another placed at the Traveller grave called Edwigh-Riet's End.

Portal[ | ]

The portal is marked with a beacon. Portal address is
302AFD339A04302AFD339A04

Resources[ | ]

The following resources are found on Cukrona Tau.

Name Category Type Node
Carbon Crystal Curiosity Concentrated Carbon Deposit Floating Crystal

Vortex Cube Trade Commodity Subterranean Relic

Sentinels[ | ]

The sentinels of Cukrona Tau are very mellow. They really only investigate when the mining beam is used to overharvest resources or to hurt fauna. As long as you conceal your Multitool, the sentinels will leave you alone after their investigation. However, harvesting a Sac Venom will trigger a level 2 response.
