Dismantling a product restores resources.
Summary[edit | edit source]
Certain products and upgrades can be dismantled if the player has the blueprint. If an object can be dismantled, the relevant information will be displayed on the product's information panel. In most cases, the raw materials returned will be roughly half the totals used to originally craft the item.
Reasons to dismantle[edit | edit source]
Initial crafting allows a player to use their inventory space more efficiently by filling one slot with a built object instead of having to use three slots for the resources involved. The dismantle process allows the player to reverse this process and partially recycle resources. They can then be used in other upgrades, instead of simply discarding or selling the older components.
Additional information[edit | edit source]
If the original resource quantity is an odd number, the "half" number will normally be rounded down when returned.
