Doors of Perception is a planet.

Summary[ | ]

Doors of Perception is a planet in the HUB10-V-1A8 Morrison system.

It is a kaleidoscopic painted desert planet, whose violet sands contrast beautifully with sienna sandstone bluffs and bone-white limestone cliffs. A rich variety of colorful blue, pink and orange cacti, bright green desert sage and ferngrass, and brilliant red shrubs blanket its lowlands.

Its heavily eroded mesas and relatively unweathered circular craters suggest surface water at some distant point in its history, followed by a period of heavy planetary bombardment which may have played a role in creating its currently-arid atmosphere.

NipNip enthusiasts may find the world's brilliant psychedelic color palettes are further enhanced by their recreational herb of choice, and the more adventurous are encouraged to sample the planet's pharmacologically active local flora.

Atmosphere and climate[ | ]

Dusty blue skies transition to bright pinks and purples at dawn and dusk, while the night sky is dominated by the system's thick green nebula. Occasional winds can kick up dust and sand, presenting a mild visibility hazard but no serious threat.

Temperatures are tolerable throughout the day but decline drastically after sunset, reaching a low of -42.3c which may stress environmental protection for a brief period around midnight. Aspiring lizard kings should charge their thermal protection systems while waiting for the sun.
