Updated Waypoint

Mounted Cannon is an exocraft upgrade.

Summary[ | ]

Mounted Cannon is an exocraft weapon which lobs explosives toward targets and can be mounted on any exocraft. It shoots two explosives per second and must periodically be recharged with Carbon (0.5%/unit), Condensed Carbon (1.5%/unit) or Oxygen (1%/unit).

It has a dedicated Upgrade Module type, Exocraft Cannon Module. Upgrades from these modules grant significant improvements to the weapon's damage, rate of fire and charge efficiency.

  • Bug (3.53): All exocraft cannon upgrades are supposed to affect the rate of fire. Instead of increasing with each stated percentile, the rate of fire decreases in the exact amount with each upgrade. Please report this bug here.

Additional information[ | ]

  • Each shot deals 1040 damage to fauna and sentinels on critical hits and 260 damage on all other direct hits. It deals 52 damage to minerals and flora.

  • For any save editors that want to increase the actual fire rate of the cannon, duplicate copies of the Exocraft Mounted Cannon in the same exocraft increase the rate of fire indirectly due to an adjacency glitch similar to that of the Photon Cannon and Spewing Vents.
  • Being an explosive weapon, it is very much capable of accidentally killing the player using it. As such it should be treated with care, especially in a permadeath save file.
