[HUB10-!-O9f] Butsu (MF Gear AQ GB SB VC) is a star system in No Man's Sky.

Summary[ | ]

[HUB10-!-O9f] Butsu (MF Gear AQ GB SB VC) is a star system in the No Man's Sky universe.

The name was created based on the presence of various resources such as Vortex Cubes, Gravitino Balls, AquaSpheres, Star Bulbs and Megafauna. The "gear" reference relates to an exotic world with gear structures and loops.

The star is a class O blue-hued main sequence star with a blue hue. As such, a Warp Reactor Theta is required to reach it. The star is orbited by four planet bodies and one moon. Asteroids provide Iron and Thamium9, large space rocks provide Nickel.

Planets & Moons[ | ]

Vord Vord (Xhot) (Mfauna) (Aq) Desert Bountiful Flora (18 distinct species) Rich Fauna (13 distinct species)
Vord Planet Alignment Extreme Wind Blasting Frequent extreme weather Low Security Sentinels
Cactus Flesh, Cymatygen, Copper, Heridium. 100% Zoology Bonus: 325,000 Units Notes: Vord is the farthest of the four planets in the system, requiring nearly a full two minutes in real time to reach at sub-warp speed. However, the planet is blasted by solar radiation, causing desert conditions. Low-lying areas of the planet are cooler; therefore, large lakes can be found with occasional aquatic life (there are four aquatic species, including a shark-like predator). Aquaspheres can be found in these lakes. The hot storms are very frequent, occurring twice per cycle and obscuring vision to near-zero visibility at low altitudes.
Yawanaba Yawan {!} (GB) (Mfauna) Hot Copious Flora (12 distinct species) Rich Fauna (10 distinct species)
Yawanaba GB Rare Firestorms Frequent extreme weather HOSTILE Sentinels
Solanium, Cymatygen, Iridium, Heridium. 100% Zoology Bonus: 250,000 Units Notes: Yawan is a sun-blasted hot planet teeming with very odd land-based and air-based lifeforms, including a “fairy” lifeform.
Sentinels are hostile as they are protecting Gravitino Balls. A budding yellow plant (Liopus bacusorium) growing in frequent clusters is a good source of Sulphurine.
Omen Omentho Freezing Frequent Flora (12 distinct species) Undetected Fauna
Omen Surface Wandering FRosts No extreme weather Typical Sentinels
Frost Crystal, Cymatygen, Nickel, Heridium. 100% Zoology Bonus: 0 Units Notes: An unremarkable frost planet with several evergreen tree species and Nitrogen bearing plants, this planet orbits in the shadow of a dead world (Uwa Efu) and, thus, does not receive enough heat to support fauna.
Uwa Uwa Efu Dead No Flora No Fauna
Uwa-1 Airless No weather Relaxed Sentinels
Cymatygen, Copper, Heridium. 100% Zoology Bonus: 0 Units Notes: The name Uwa Efu is translated to “Fireplace” in the Igbo language, as it is a relaxed planet where one can get away….if one has enough life support. The planet is unremarkable with copious copper and heridium resources.
Gears Erense (Gears) (Loops) Malfunctioning Frequent Flora (2 distinct species) Undetected Fauna
Gears-1 Haunted Frosts No extreme weather Regular Sentinels
Cymatygen, Copper, Heridium. 100% Zoology Bonus: 0 Units Notes: Erense is a malfunctioning moon of Uwa Efu with loops and rotating gear-like structures. Loops are commonly found spread throughout the planet providing integral logbook information about Atlas from differing perspectives. Pieces of broken metal litter the sulphur-stained ground, and large canyons with limestone structures and Marrow Bulb plants scar the landscape.
Tropicool Tropicool (Cu,SB,VC) Temperate Moderate Flora (13 distinct species) Bountiful Fauna (13 distinct species)
Tropicool2 Boiling Monsoons Frequent extreme weather Minimal Sentinels
Vortex Cube, Star Bulb, Cymatygen, Copper, Heridium. 100% Zoology Bonus: 325,000 Units Notes: Tropicool was named by PC Interloper Bodin; however, the name of the planet is ironic in that the weather is typically extremely hot (storm temperatures reach 146 degrees Celsius), and the rain obscures vision when flying at low altitudes. Fauna is extremely dense, though only one predatory creature (Essigniumis pocrib) has been identified thus far.

Standing amidst the Korvax and Gek on the space station is a Traveller, identified as Traveller Eksetralet. He will offer the location of graves within the system. Thus far, one grave has been confirmed on Erense, the moon of Uwa Efu. The cost of the knowledge of the graves is 100 Nanites.
