Mega Flora Botanical Research is a research page.
Summary[ | ]
This page describes Mega Flora found on Biome - Mega Exotic worlds that is both scannable with the Analysis Visor and harvestable with a Mining Beam.
This makes them not just part of the landscape, but full fledged Flora.
Description[ | ]
Many Mega Exotic planets have mega-sized flora and mega-sized mineral elements that are part of the landscape. These elements are enlarged types of flora or minerals present in other biomes, and they are not scannable, harvestable, or editable with Multi-tool equipment or any other device. This makes them one of the sturdiest natural elements present in the universe. The planets that present mega-sized elements usually have two kinds of them.
In some cases, however, tough mega-sized flora don't follow this general rule, and are scannable and harvestable, despite having huge proportions.
Measurements[ | ]
Since measuring height is not easy in No Man's Sky, Cuboid Rooms have been used as a measuring tool.
Mega Ringed Worlds[ | ]
A Mega Ringed World is a Mega Exotic subtype with mega-sized mineral rings that are part of the landscape. In this kind of planet, the second mega-sized element is a tall umbrella shaped tree that is often present in a smaller version in other biomes. Despite being an enlarged version of a regular tree, this Mega Flora is not part of the landscape, but can be scanned and harvested. This happens in the 100% of samples and is a constant in every Mega Ringed World documented to this point.
This type of umbrella tree can be roughly as tall as 15 Cuboid Rooms piled on top of each other, and this measure is constant in all the specimen in the various planet analyzed.

Lush-like Mega Exotics[ | ]
Many Mega Exotic planets lack mega-sized elements, but instead have a very similar surface appearance to the Lush biome, differing only in weird colouring. In this particular environment there are woods made of different species of trees, usually four, and all of them are mega-sized. In the regular lush biome, woods are made of regular sized trees, and one specie might have a mega sized tree individual infrequently present. In the Lush-like Mega Exotic Biome entire woods are composed of mega sized trees, and all the present species have frequent oversized samples that form the bulk of the wood themselves.
Their average height is 13 Cuboid Rooms
