Summary[ | ]
F. Grantboisoe is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.
It is an "arched-back" diplo that is especially small relative to other members of the Rangifae genus. It is nicknamed "Rockhammer", due to its diminutive size, its striking hammer-shaped head, and its favored rocky terrain on Dwork Delta. It often dines on mineral rich rocks, when gravitino balls are in short supply.

Gender Dimorphism[ | ]
Both genders of F. Grantboisoe have a regal purple color, exaggerated against the white snow of Dwork Delta. Their feet have a shape similar to the flippers of Earth seals, which allow them to coast rapidly down snowy slopes.
While there are some similarities, the two genders appear quite different. The species earns its "Rockhammer" nickname from the appearance of the Orthogonal gender, with its exaggerated hammer-shaped head, similar to the cephalofoil heads of Earth Sphyrnidae. The Orthogonal has silvery plates on its body, spikes on its back, and fins on its neck, all for defense.
The Asymmetric gender lacks the pronounced hammer-shaped head, but instead has a beautiful and sharp beak, which it uses to chisel rocks. In addition, it has defensive flowy spikes on its back.

Found on planet Dwork Delta, home to harsh freezing winds. Gregarious, wide-roaming creatures. They are occasionally found alone, but such animals are unhappy, lost from their herd. Pugneum-infused teeth allow them to consume and digest gravitino balls, crunching through their outer shells in an explosion of light.
