The system was named after E. Gary Gygax, the creator of the Dungeons and Dragons tabletop roleplaying game. The star is a green-hued class E main system star that requires an Emeril Drive to reach. The system is an Uncharted system, which is defined as one that has not been colonized by any of the four principal races of the No Man's Sky Universe.
