Disambig This article is about the Origins version of Notus. For the NEXT version, see Notus (NEXT).

Notus is an inhabited binary star system.

Summary[ | ]

Notus is a scientific star system on the meridian between the Gamma Quadrant and Delta Quadrant in the Euclid galaxy. It is the extreme coordinate for the galactic y- axis on h(0) and one of the cornerstones of Euclid. It lies directly at The Fade. It is also known as the South Pole. A binary system, the primary star is yellow, with a purple companion.

The system is governed by Operator Entity Deys who is supported by ToilGek Infeksta, the minister of trade. The Vy'keen Enforcer Ogbaim takes care of security in the system. It will take more time until the attacks of the 'tourists' will vane but the Vy'keen love the sport. The security remains terribly LOW!

Aboard the space station the Korvax offer their massive supply depot to visitors in need.

Binary Notus

Notus' Binary Stars

Notus was relatively unvisited before the anomaly. Only the most devout Korvax and Gek took it upon themselves to come here, resulting in less than optimal trade. Between the anomaly and the Atlassian birthcycle, the system was under supervision of Divine Atlas Entity Yimsk who was supported by the devout Gek, as well as their friend, Employee Uutosurga. Surprisingly, Notus was one of the few systems to come out on top of the temporal anomaly N07E24-X20T18. The local theocracy stayed in power and had the most devout of Gek join their ranks to support it. Despite the short recovery of the sentinels after the crisis, the rogue elements began gaining power, and the word of their god grew fainter with every day. It didn't last.

During the crisis of the Atlas when the wormhole network collapsed, faith in the omnipotent entity withered. While the most devout Korvax fought to keep control of its faithful and the system, most Gek fled and the Vy'keen High Command decided to ally with the rogue Korvax entities trying to break free. They ultimately succeeded.

Today Notus is controlled by a democratically elected Korvax government aided by both Gek and Vy'keen in trade and military affairs. The zealots are gone. Even the Atlassian birthcycle didn't rekindle the local faith as the new planet is full of corrupted rogue sentinels and is hostile to all life.

Planets & Moons[ | ]

  • Nelstop, the former lifeless rock of Notus 1 has regained its ability to carry life. After their god's anguished cry, the planet was revived. It remains inhospitable for most sapient organics due to its scorched pangean nature. Even though it was a religious marvel before, today it is part of their research focus.
  • Tahild Muna was a scorched world. Today it has cooled down but has become a rather peaceful irradiated pangean planet.
  • Notus 3, the former Perkingon, was a radioactive world. During the anomaly it lost its atmosphere, bringing the local species into extinction. Today it is a peaceful dead pangean ringworld.
  • Notus Prime wasn't always the primary planet of the system. In fact Notus 4 was a lifeless rock. Since the anomaly it has revived and has become the system's new continental gaia world.
  • Ridwigton has fallen from grace since the anomaly. The former Notus Prime was a gentle gaia world, but sadly devoid of fauna. After the anomaly it snowballed and went into a hyperborean age. Today it is a continental ice world.
  • Ikaga is the result of the Atlassian birthcycle and resulted in a hostile extremely dangerous barren pangean planet. Nothing about Ikaga seems pleasant or inviting and it might be one of the most dangerous planets in the Inner Outer Rim. It is a focus of scientific research, which is mostly complicated by the presence of rogue sentinels all over its surface.
