Summary[ | ]
O. Shepokhedus is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.
Standing in at 8.2 meters tall, O. Shepokhedus is one of the largest documented members of the Bos genus. Although they are large creatures, they tend to group together, probably as a defensive measure against quicker and stealthier predators.
Appearance[ | ]
Gender Dimorphism[ | ]
Both the Asymptotic and None genders stand in at 8.2 meters tall with the Asymptotic weighing in at 336.5 kilograms and the None weighing in at 327.3 kilograms. Both are vastly different in appearance.
The Asymptotic gender is deep red in color and has brighter red frills that goes down the back and also on each side. It has eight large, segmented legs that allow it to crouch down to snack on gravitino balls and also spring upwards to defend against predators. Their eyes protrude from their head, allowing them to see in all directions.
The None gender has a mix of red and green colors. Its main body is light green with a red split cap on its back and red frills. The four hind legs are similar to the Asymptotic gender. The front legs consist of claws, with the uppermost being smaller and retractable for feeding and the others being large and close to the ground for defense. The upper body is slender and upright, with large bulging eyes, two antennae, and what appears to be two large ears.

O. Shepokhedus is found in the deep snow and icy forests of planet Yannatho J23. Slow moving, passive creatures, they are content to focus only on plantlife. Pugneum-infused teeth allow them to consume and digest gravitino balls, crunching through their outer shells in an explosion of light.
