Roas V is a planet in No Man's Sky.

Summary[ | ]

Roas V is a planet in the Aaberg-Rac star system, which is located in the Aslees Boundary region of the Eissentam galaxy on the PS4 version of No Man's Sky universe.

Alias names[ | ]

All Original: Roas V
PS4 Current: Roas V

Discovered Date[ | ]

Roas V was discovered on 8 August 2018 by explorer roytheodd.

Description[ | ]

Roas V is a golden ball of trouble. Its surface is a yellow soil punctuated with simple craters of gray earth. Occasional hills rise above the horizon; both sheer-drop mesas and pointed mounds share the landscape. The atmosphere has a constant toxicity of 58.5 Tox, meaning that there is an around-the-clock limit to how much time can be spent outside. Toxic supercell storms wash the planet with even higher toxicity, 100.5 Tox, a few times each sol. Copious caves make the planet explorable.

Points of Interest[ | ]

The number of points of interest on Roas V make it comfortable to explore via Starship. The distance between them is mostly too great to travel from one to another via Exocraft and the planet’s weather and sentinels prohibit walking any real distance. Discovered waypoints include Drop Pods, Holographic Comms Towers, Trading Posts, Uninhabited Camps, and simple Waypoints that only allow for saving.

Player Base[ | ]

There is a player base built at a Holo-Terminus. The Terminus is named Point Unjian and the base is named Point Unjian Castrum. The main structure of the player base is built near the landing post of the Terminus, so while the base does not have a Landing Pad it does have a fuel-free place from which to launch. The base also contains a Galactic Trade Terminal, a Base Teleport Module, and a Colossus Geobay, among other amenities. The base was built by explorer roytheodd.

Within line of sight from Point Unjian is another Holo-Terminus and a Trading Post. While possible to walk from one to the other, the weather and sentinels make it a challenging journey.

Resources[ | ]

The following resources are available on Roas V.

Di-hydrogen High Energy Substance Blue crystals
Emeril Refined Stellar Metal Resource Deposit
Fungal Mould Harvested Agricultural Substance Fungal Cluster
Gravitino Ball Trade Commodity Gravitino Ball

Sentinels[ | ]

Roas V is a "High Security" planet. Being seen by a sentinel automatically grants a level 1 response. Firing on sentinels or harvesting a Gravitino Ball will trigger a level 3 response. It is very difficult to collect any resources on the surface of Roas V due to the sentinel presence. Caves provide a relatively safer place to harvest.
