Summary

The Free Folk of the Fringe is an anonymous society and originated in the Ivja Cluster formerly known as the Ivjapendy Fringe and therefore in short known as 'The Fringe'. It's open for everyone to join (residents or non-residents of the Cluster), regardless of race, origin or religious belief.

Their elected leader was Captain Sturkopi, a Gek residing in the capital's Space station who went missing with the beginning of the Pathfinder era.

Although religion isn't really a thing in the Fringe, their people speak very highly of the Comforting Recoil II, a mystic Multi-tool found during the Pathfinder era in the former capital G-18 Gala. The Freefolk's emblem features the characteristic night crystals of said Multi-tool.

The motto of the Fringe people is “We don't kneel for anyone beyond the Fringe.”

Consuming NipNip was legal in the Fringe.

As of the NEXT era the Free Folk has become a nomad society. There is no capital or specific region they call home nowadays.

Atlas Rises Era

The Free Folk is still an active yet anonymous society in the Atlas Rises era. However it is believed that many citizens have moved on from the Fringe to other regions discovering different parts of the galaxy while fondly remembering the golden era of the Comforting Recoil II.

How to Join

If you want to join the Free Folk of the Fringe you just have to stand up and repeat the following words to yourself: "I Am Now An Official Member Of The Fringe!" You might feel a great disturbance in the Force afterwards but that's perfectly normal.

Lore

Prior to the Galactic Regeneration the Ivja Cluster was called 'Ivjapendy Fringe'. It is a region comprised of a number of star systems in relatively close proximity to what was once called the Galactic Hub. The Ivjapendy Fringe consisted of a comfortable number of lush planets with generally favorable characteristics. However, it is believed that this was not always the case. Additional information is available at Free Folk of the Fringe - Lore.
