A Gravitino Ball is a rare trade commodity item.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Gravitino Balls are extremely rare and valuable, products of divergent super-gravitational forces. As the player walks closer to a ball, it will shine brighter. The balls can be found small, medium, and large varieties.

They can be revealed with Analysis Visor and will be indicated with PICKUP.RARE2.png icon.

Picking one up in the wild immediately gives the player a three-star wanted level.

The Gravitino Ball in a natural habitat. It only shines brightly when the player is near.

Gravitino Balls are rare items found on certain planets. They are normally located on the ground or under minerals. These planets are usually high security, meaning that sentinels will attack on sight, even if the player does not destroy or alter the environment.

You can search for Gravitino Balls with a scanner and look for purple diamonds with a white metal bar inside, same icon as exotic plants. They will always spawn on planets with hostile sentinels.

Gravitino Creatures on a frozen world

Gravitino Balls can also be found from a rock-like creature with a stalk holding a Gravitino Ball. These are called Sentient Plant in-game. The stalk will only appear when you're near it. This type has a low chance of appearing on planets without extreme weather, and is similar to the Light Stalk found around Xen in the game HalfLife.

Gravitino Balls can also always be found underneath floating Radnox plants, only on extreme planets, if the planet has both.

Several can also be found at certain Ancient Ruins.

With assistance from a Farmer, Gravitino Balls can also be grown as a product of the Gravitino Host plant, with a harvest time of 60 minutes.

Crafting[edit | edit source]

The following products can be crafted using Gravitino Balls as an ingredient (note that most of these products use an identical upgrade formula):
