History and Background[edit | edit source]

During the last days of Atlas Rises the Galactic Hub Project was under threat from various outside forces, the talk of multiplayer combat in NEXT enticed a portion of the gaming community. At that time, war or battle in NMS consisted of, at worst Base overwriting, or more likely, rudely naming star systems and offensive messages left on Communications Stations. So with the beginning of the NEXT update the Galactic Hub Council took the opportunity to move to a new unexplored region. In an effort to thwart any ill-mannered naming within the new HUB1 (The Arm of Vezitinen), they established The ARK Program. The ARK Programs goal was to name every star system within HUB1, giving approved and selected individuals early access to the new location. GenBra Space Corp was granted this access and had a goal of only securing a system or two for use as an Euclid office.

NMS NEXT and the ARK Program began on 7/24/2018. I had a late start, by 7/29/2018 GenBra had secured two un-named star systems within the GHUBs HUB1; however, by 7/31/2018 one of those systems reverted to a different system name and discoverer. This system, held out for another week as HUB1-151 Gervin (GenBra Duo) but eventually reverted to HUB1-151 Hoder. I list this system as co-discovered because the NMS servers weren't very good in the early days but ultimate discovery credit goes to PS4 player Syn1334.

GenBra Space Corp holds two bases on the desert planet Nonjo 58/16; a Creative mode base (The Ultimate Tower) near the Portal and a Normal mode base (Cave Base) which was the first one I built during NEXT. This was a great place to test the new features in single and multiplayer modes. It was an exciting time learning to walk again.

Pictures and information documented during the Visions era (Jan. 2019).

Discovered[edit | edit source]

By PS4 explorers Syn1334 and intothedoor during the ARK Program (last week in July 2018).

Early Images Taken[edit | edit source]

Helped by fellow traveller Astromons we tested the limits of building in Creative mode. Now after all this time its hard to image all the base parts would still be there. Like many builders I tried to find the top limit of base building. After the point of getting lost in the clouds at over 100 stories tall I could no longer see in the thick brown clouds, so it is now left until the next galactic wipe-out. These images were taken in the beginning of August, 2018
