[HUB10-E7pf] Gifsne (Ca) (Mfauna) is a star system in No Man's Sky.

Summary[edit | edit source]

[HUB10-E7pf] Gifsne (Ca) (Mfauna) is a star system in the No Man's Sky universe.

The star emits a green spectra radiation, which requires a Warp Reactor Tau to reach. Hence, the light of the star illuminates the stellar gases that are prevalent in the system whilst the radioactivity gives the stellar background a magenta hue.

The system name “Gifsne” is a combination of the Western Frisian words “Gif” and “Snie,” which translate to “Poison Snow.”

The star is orbited by two planets: one frost, and one toxic. Asteroids provide Iron, and larger space rocks provide Copper. The notable resources in this star system include the presence of Calium on the toxic planet Zuhurinsk, and the presence of megafauna on the frost planet Daskarewa.

Fungal Mould, Viridium, Iridium, Heridium, Calium 100% Zoology Bonus: 200,000 Units.png Notes:

A hostile toxic planet teeming with massive fungus, some so large they stand over 8 meters high and are still considered saplings.
Several of the fauna on this planet are hostile, including a mid-sized, 4-meter tall floating crab.
Calium spheres are well camouflaged amongst the fungi, but can be detected with scanners.
Toxicity levels during storms can reach 118 or higher.

Daskarewa was named for the Hausa term for “Freezing Crystals” reflecting the planet’s Freezing temperatures and the presence of frost crystals.
The topography is extreme with huge frozen cliffs overlooking fast sloping plains, some with deep crater lakes.
The weather is extreme, with storm temperatures maxing out at -123 degrees C.
Nighttime temperatures are -92 degrees C, and the water temperatures are also potentially deadly.
Bring plenty of Zinc and Titanium.
