Disambig.png This article is about the NEXT version of Halek. For the Atlas Rises version, see Halek (Atlas).

Halek is an inhabited star system.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Halek is a star system on the Beta meridian at the end of the Beta Spiral in the Euclid galaxy. Its distance to Beta Polaris is 314ly! The local hyper black hole is connected to Dalaipei 272847 ly towards the center and 1154243 ly away.

After the success of the hyper wormhole during the new age of discovery, the Gek company established a more advanced branch in the region. Now it is led by Manager Kitt who is aided by Supervisor Esperge. Navigator Flodfa manages the increased demands in traffic and the rough calculations for the wormhole travel for new passengers. Due to the increased demand there was an increase in initial attacks by pirates. After the Gek hired the mercenary company under Liquidator Mianngarz, this short rise quickly returned to normal figures. The Vy'keen is quite intimidating in his punishments, mostly death.

Aboard the space station the Gek offer esteemed customers access to their botanic garden. With the increase in traffic the Traveller's Guild has opened an embassy here under leadership of Traveller Pehnismi for The Guardians.

The special resource node of the system is ???.

History[edit | edit source]

This section is Fan Fiction. The information found here is not an actual part of the released game, but a user-invented addition to the wiki.

The system was under supervision of Hireling Kibefla and even then it was the local access point to the wormhole network as it harbors the Ongyimid Shallows hyper wormhole. Due to the limited destinations, Spiral Wormholes are much more reliable and precise for quick travel between spirals than even portals could ever hope to be. This led to a steady profit for the Gek Company and the Hirelings promotion.

Planets & Moons[edit | edit source]

  • Halek 1was a very dangerous irradiated continental world. It suffered 10.7 Rad at day above and 9.9 Rad below the water surface. During alpha storms the radiation climbed to 30.2 Rad. Today it has lost its radioactive atmosphere and has become a dead world.
  • Judyg, the former Halek 2, was a dead world. Today it has become a continental caustic world with an average acidity of 68.7 Hammett and water acidity of 78.7 Hammett.
  • Halek Prime, the former Weihai, was a pangean caustic world. After the demise of the system's former prime, the now normalized peaceful gaia world serves as the system's new tradehub.
  • Kiptoni, the former Halek Prime, was a gaia swampworld. At this point in time it has snowballed and turned into a dangerous oceanic frozen ringworld. Its daily temperature ranges around -53°C to -54°C. The oceans are still liquid despite their temperature being 10°C less than the standard surface at day and 8°C less during the night. The night temperature goes down to -56.7°C with nightly blizzards down to -96.7°C.
  • Halek 5, the former Sela Rata, was an arctic swampworld. Today all humidty and the entire atmosphere is gone. It is a dead world.
