Fleet standoff

Admiral Huk's fleet squares off against The Venandi

History of the Empyrean of Dominioni is a fan-fiction article.

Summary[ | ]

The following is a civilization history.

The Ameign Incident[ | ]

The colonization of the Ameign Vector offered the first resistance to the expansion of the Empyrean. The incident proved both the might of the Empyrean Navy and how deep the lies of The Atlas can embed themselves.

Capture of the Ibis[ | ]

Ibis

The Ibis leaving for Ameign Station

Rumors soon began to arrive at the docks of Ameign Station of the Empyrean. Workers aboard trade barges whispered of a man who preached freedom from The Atlas. As word picked up, Cult of Atlas worshipers in the system began to turn their attention to a newly appointed Gek Admiral Huk. They backed him with near limitless amounts of units to fuel his political dominance and secure a fleet capable of repelling any foreign interference.

As anticipated an envoy sent from the Empyrean soon arrived aboard the "Ibis". However, when the emissary boarded the station, Gek loyal to the cult took them into custody under the Admiral's orders.

The Battle of Ameign[ | ]

AmeignBattle

Empyrean Navy forces engage enemy fighters

Enraged at the capture of the royal shuttle and subsequent execution of its crew, Emperor Darious Kiljak and the entire Empyrean fleet descended on Ameign Station; now being guarded by a combined force of Admiral Huk's soldiers and sentinel ships sent by The Atlas.

Empyrean Naval ships led by Emperor Darious engaged fighters outside of the station while aboard the Venandi Captain Asn fired on Huk's flagship directly. As the battle raged on locals began to see an opportunity to finally break free of The Atlas, a truth to the whispered message of The Empyrean. The flood of new soldiers, resisting Huk's forces through small separate coups aboard the station and capitals ships alike. Rebel forces aboard the Ibis soon led a wave of fighters from the station hangar and engaged the remaining Sentinel forces to the last ship. Aboard Ameign Station system authorities imprisoned Admiral Huk as a traitor, vowing he would live out the rest of his days in solitary for his crimes against his own people.

Aftermath[ | ]

The Ibis was returned to The Empyrean following the installation of new leadership aboard the station.

The Ameign Vector became the first Gek controlled system to embrace The Empyrean, and operate in open revolt from The Atlas (a fact that has earned the system leadership due respect from many neighboring Vy'Keen systems)
