Ilongoqungo is the second planet from the planetary system's star, Yepreckerts. This puts it within the habitable zone and allows for its paradisaical nature.
Planet type
Ilongoqungo is a Paradise Planet.
Atmosphere and climate
The atmosphere of Ilongoqungo is mild, with frequent cold rains. It has a mean temperature of around -4.7 °C (40.46 °F), a radiation level of 0.8, but a toxic level of 18.1.
An aggressive carnivorous vine. Leaves are a greenish-blue while its segmented, whip-like stalk is grayish-brown.
Arvatium aionatorioe
Red
Somarinoa
A woody plant with a single, spined trunk sticking up with its dangerous end exposed, presumably to protect somewhat against foragers. Four red leaves spiraling back down around the rest of the trunk.
Burrecia mumundoreus
Blue and red
Somarinoa
An exotic shrub with frayed-looking, blue-green leaves covered in vibrant red stripes. The rest of the plant is woody.
Emmatea lubaligosa
Teal
Somarinoa
A very fern-like plant with teal leaves and a golden tan stem. Possibly related to the Psicad.
Euntae lumbrocia
Blue
Somarinoa
A blue-leafed flowering shrub, with four splayed-out leaves and a spiny red flower in the center. Stems are brown in color.
Fileleaf Tree
Purple
Somarinoa
Fileleaf Trees (Axercium uciusmodeum) are a rare species of tree so far only found within the borders between the Ashisne Jungle and the Weyrda Grassland, where they were found growing along the cliff face. Their trunks are bumpy and purple in color, and are free of foliage for most of their length. The leaves that do occur are excluded to the upper branches, and are strangely triangular and file-like in appearance. These leaves are a blood red hue.
Glulip
Glowing Blue
Somarinoa
Glulips (Brocygera honomysae) are thick-stemmed plants found around cavern entrances. They use bioluminescent processes to glow in the dark, leaving their large flower a vibrant blue. Their stems are brown while their leaves are an olive-drab green in their center and becoming fuschia near the edges. They are closely related to the Luminpod.
Loliae hymaliseus
Gold
Somarinoa
A large tree with a thick mid-trunk that presumably stores water like a baobab. Trunk is golden in hue with drab blue splotches, with noticeable thorns protruding near the ground, perhaps to deter foragers. Limbs are usually thick and bulky, and support clusters of autumn-red leaves.
Luminpod
Glowing Blue
Somarinoa
Luminpods (Annonneum ikumfieum) are thick-stemmed plants found around cavern entrances. They use bioluminescent processes to glow in the dark, leaving their large bulb a vibrant blue. Their stems are brown while their leaves are an olive-drab green in their center and becoming fuschia near the edges. They are closely related to the Glulip.
Mucarub Fireleaf
Yellow
Somarinoa
Mucarub Fireleaf (Muredus ituophae) is a tree related X. nicarabatea that has only been spotted in the Mucarub Marsh. The trunk is drab yellow in color and fattened around its lower half like a baobab, presumably to store water. The upper half diminishes to a scrawny nub, while several limbs extend from around it, covered in red, wing-like leaves. Like its relative, their lower trunk is covered in what appears to be rounded snails.
Netareum rebonaldium
Blue
Somarinoa
A short, broadleaf plant. Leaves are a lighter blue than the stems and covered in red speckles. May be related to B. mumundoreus.
Platinum Berry
Dark Blue
Somarinoa
Platinum Berries (Oaniea xupostupea) are berry plants that produce large, almost blueberry-like fruit in the center of a leafy cup. They apparently extract trace amounts of platinum from the soil, as this can be found in ample amounts when their berries are harvested. The berries are darkest in blue, while the stem are a regular dark blue. The leaves around the berries is the lightest part of the plant.
Psicad
Blue
Somarinoa
Psicads (Uirosusia tihabium) are a cycad-like plant that is very close in appearance to E. lumbrocia. Its leaves are a dark blue but fade to a teal by the edge of their leaves. The stems and bulb are golden in hue.
Somari Stems
Red
Somarinoa
Somari Stems (Unsuoe akunoactum) are the local Thamium9-harvesting plants. They are somewhat camomile-like in appearance, at least until full maturity. They have a large red bulb attached to a green stem, with jagged-edged leaves curling upwards.
Xogonus nicarabatea
Red
Somarinoa
A moderately-sized tree with wing-like leaves. Their trunks are curiously covered in what appear to be rounded snails.
Zinc Hibiscus
Gold
Somarinoa
Zinc Hibiscus (Orkelea eatiatoria) are large, golden flowers which extract zinc and store it in their pistils and stamens. The flower and leaves of the plant are gold in hue, though the very thick, spiraling stem is brown with trace hints of gold across it.

27.83 kg
Somarinoa
Barnaclebeaks (Ocarran stowawayi; formerly sacedora) are a small, herbivorous gopher-like creature found primarily around Tinikoho Moor. They are cautious in nature and hard to approach. Their bodies are mostly an olive coloration with a pale underside. However, green osteoderms cover portions of their head, neck, and legs. Their eyes are golden and have goat-like pupils. Their beak is yellow and red. Three growths extend from their head. Strange barnacle-like growths also cover their bodies, presumed to be another species in symbiotic relation. Their gender is referred to as "orthogonal".
Bicolored Sparrowbat
1.13m
95.47 kg
Somarinoa
Bicolored Sparrowbats (Owarei alriagi) are rare flying herbivores, possibly due to their hibernator temperament. Roughly the height of a man, they split color-wise around the waist. Their upper half is dorsally tawny and ventrally pale yellow with black markings around their eye and a deep red beak; their lower half is a dark green hue. Their leathery, bat-like wings are the same tawny color as the front half of their bodies. Their scaled legs are red. Their gender is referred to as "Asymptotic".
Cave Coral
1mm across
Negligible
Somarinoa
Cave Coral (Aprius ucrutersis) are a species of colonial creatures that filter particles, aeroplankton, and algae-equivalent vegetation out of the surrounding air. They are named for the stony structures they build to house their colonies, which often consist into the millions. They are found in droves around Tinikoho Moor but can also be seen elsewhere throughout the world.
Crested Bulkdog
2.65m
153.51 kg
Somarinoa
Crested Bulkdogs (Girumbar biumon) are large, herbivorous, bear-like animals that are unconcerned with sapient encroachment. They are brown in hue with a pale underside, and are covered in pinkish stripes. Their tail is thick and tufted at the end, and a sturdy mane extends from their backside. Their head sports moderately sized ears and a short, extending crest. Their eyes are golden and set within what appears to be armored plating. Their limbs are large and bulky. Their gender is referred to as "orthogonal".
Eybas Leopald
0.51m
64.21 kg
Somarinoa
Eybas Leopalds (Eidosso eybas; formerly sacedora) are moderately-sized, six legged felids related to the Tusked Leopald. Although they are very similar in coloration they are presumably not the same species. Eybases have powerful legs and a thick tail, with a leopard-like head - however, it sports a nasal crest similar to a parasaurolophus. They are sandy yellow in color with brown splotches covering their hide. Despite their fearsome appearance, they are herbivores and actually skittish by nature. Their gender is referred to as "radical".
Feathered Remorabeak
0.57m
24.69 kg
Somarinoa
Feathered Remorabeaks are easily mistaken for Barnaclebeaks to the unobservant. They have the same body colorations as their cousins, as well as the same colored osteoderms, eyes, and beak. However, instead of being covered in barnacles and possessing strange fleshy growths on their heads, these have brown, almost stem-like extensions that hold a ragged, feathery flap of skin that serves no known purpose. These creatures were often spotted around Kingbrowses and the two are assumed to have a symbiotic relationship. They are cautious herbivores with a gender best described as "symmetric".
Greater Grassquatter
1.16m
84.33 kg
Somarinoa
Greater Grassquatters (Ligonaxo albatur) are ambulatory, asymptotic herbivores. They are almost identical to the very closely related Ilongo Platerunners: Canid in appearance, they sport a robust body with short, thin tail, tall pointed ears, red eyes, and a horned head. Body is brown with a pale underside, with deep green markings on their muzzle, backside, and paws.
Hammerhead Kingbrowse
4.85m
213.85 kg
Somarinoa
Hammerhead Kingbrowses (ocindompis idornot) are the planet's apex browsers. They are peculiar in appearance, with a bovid-like body, chicken-like feet, a strangely reptilianoid head with a massive overbite, and eyes extended out on stalks like a hammerhead shark. Despite their size they have an ambulatory temperament and will run from adventurers. Their genders seem to be the same, and are regarded as "symmetric". They can be found in regions such as they Weyrda Grassland and the Hitones Plains.
Ilongo Platerunner
1.07m
72.03 kg
Somarinoa
Ilongo Platerunners (Ligonaxo problematicus; formerly albatur) are ambulatory, asexual herbivores. Canid in appearance, they sport a robust body with short, thin tail, small droopy ears, red eyes, and a horned head (though these horns differ from those of the Grassquatter). Named after four yellow-and-purple plates that grow off of their sides that seem to serve no known purpose. Body is brown with a pale underside, with deep green markings on their muzzle, backside, and paws. Very closely related to the Greater Grassquatter.
Plaqueback
1.94m
98.47 kg
Somarinoa
Initially, the Plaqueback and the Pleasant Spinebrowser were thought to be different, if related, species. This turned out not to be the case however, and Spinebrowsers have been determined to be the indeterminate (equivalent to males in this case) of the encompassing "Pleasant" species. The species is named for their lips, which make them look like they have a "pleasant smile". They are mostly pale underneath, with their middle portion being orange and their upper regions being brown. However their upper forelimbs and back of the neck are covered in greenish-gray scales. Males are covered in tan, plaque-like scales that presumably protect them from would-be predators. Their heads are adorned with long, gazelle-like horns that extend over their backs, while an armored covering extends over their nose. They have short, droopy ears and greenish gray eyes. Although their demeanor is calm, they will flee from potential threats. They are herbivorous by nature.
Pleasant Spinebrowser
1.90m
88.09 kg
Somarinoa
Initially, the Plaqueback and the Pleasant Spinebrowser were thought to be different, if related, species. This turned out not to be the case however, and Spinebrowsers have been determined to be the symmetrics (equivalent to females in this case) of the encompassing "Pleasant" species. Unlike the males, these females lack the extended horns from the head, and instead have grown five pairs of long spikes from either side of their back, possibly to protect against would-be predators. Like the males, they are calm in demeanor.
Tusked Leopald
<height>
<weight>
Somarinoa
Tusked Leopalds (Eidosso sacedora) are a species of moderately-sized felids that can easily be mistaken for their cousins, the Eybas Leopald. Is name is a bit of a misnomer, as the original discoverer thought the creature had tusks, when it turned out later to be a nose horn. Their coloration is almost the same as the Eybas, being sandy yellow, but their splotches are slightly darker. They also have vibrant green markings around their eyes and five pairs of thorn-like plates along their back.
Sentinels
Sentinels are relatively few and far between on this planet, and can be considered mostly harmless.
Resources
As a Paradise Planet, it is a major source of carbon from both floral and faunal life. It has a few pillars of Heridium here and there, and plenty of Plutonium around caves. Because of the large quantity of life, Thamium9 is not difficult to come across.
