Golfsite Alpha Minigame Colony[edit | edit source]
- Please contact 7101334 before building a base on Golfsite Alpha! The Hub staff would like to keep only golf-minigame-bases in this system, but more contributions within that theme are always welcome.
Golfsite Alpha is the first location in the Galactic Hub where Interlopers can play a golf minigame! Created by other interlopers, golfers play using a simplified ruleset based on basic golf rules: better players get a numerically-lower score and take fewer shots.
Score your points as follows: 1 point for every purposeful attempt to hit the ball with a projectile/burst1; 2 points for a ball knocked into the water. If your ball is irretrievable (such as deep underwater or in a cave), you must restart that hole at 0 points. A lower score places you higher on the leaderboard (because a hole-in-one is always, hypothetically, the best you can do).
1 "Projectile/burst" is defined as: 1 trigger-pull on the Scatter Blaster; 5 shots from the Pulse Spitter; or 1% of your fuel on a Mining Beam. The Blaze Javelin will not move balls and thus may be used to line up practice shots without counting towards points.
Holes & Other Locations
|Golfsite Alpha - Central Point||Golfsite Alpha is a Galactic Hub Star League-sponsored colony focused on golf bases.
Interlopers are asked to contact 7101334 or a member of the Galactic Hub Council before opening their own portion of the golfsite.
High Score Leaderboard
Uploading a video of your best score is recommended to settle possible disputes over high scores, but this is not strictly required for golf leaderboards due to the possible length of games.
Write your score as "(Your Points) / (Minimum Points Possible)". So if you played 9 holes and took 17 shots, your score would be 17 / 9, giving you a ratio of about 1.89. Your ratio determines your spot on the leaderboard, followed by your total number of holes (someone with a 2.0 on 20 holes will place higher than a 2.0 on 2 holes).
