This project is a collaboration between InExCor and Grand Conjunction.

In May 2020 Grand Conjunction scientists made a new classification of planets based on their Habitability, setting new criteria for a World to have perfect habitability conditions, Eden World, and almost perfect habitability conditions Near-Eden World. It was long debated if the Biome - Mega Exotic could have some of its variants fit these categories, as the majority of the scientific community viewed them as only "hostile planets". In fact only one planet with this characteristics had ever been found, Myrkr-Skogr lil'Seidhr, and was considered a mere oddity.

Research[ | ]

With the possibility of sampling all galaxies, InExCor explorers started to look for further evidences on this particular subject, and very soon they found them.

It is likely that many of these planet sub-types have already been discovered, but since no one was looking for them, they had passed unnoticed. For this reason, the sentence "first ever documented", and not "first ever discovered", will be used below.

This research continues, and Grand Conjunction scientists are finding other sample worlds. As the sample size increases, research will be done to discern the frequency of this type of planet, and if they share common criteria that make them detectable from orbit, or if they have enough constant characteristics to define a subcategory.

Relevant Discoveries[ | ]

25 April 2020: Azel met the requirements to be listed as an Eden World, and as the second Mega Exotic Eden World ever documented, it confirms that the first one was not an oddity.
12 May 2020: Blar-Klo lig'Seidhr was discovered; the first Mega Exotic Mega Flora Near-Eden World ever documented. It lacks only a thick layer of grass to be considered a full fledged Eden.
13 May 2020: Sultan is the first Mega Exotic Mega Flora Eden World ever documented.
