Junk is a type of resource in No Man's Sky, grouped under the Special category.

Residual Goop can be extracted from terminals located inside Abandoned Buildings; Rusted Metal can be obtained from Damaged Containers.

They can also be purchased and sold at Galactic Trade Terminals and NPCs for a profit.

  • This resource type was introduced in Atlas Rises.
  • All of these resources have the Jn symbol rather than their own, and an icon with a green background.
  • Runaway Mould cannot be found anywhere else besides the Galactic Trade Terminal.
