Zevon (L. Xenoahae) is a creature.
Summary[ | ]
Zevon (L. Xenoahae) is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.
It is a member of the Ictaloris genus, and the Sitalie family. The Zevon is named after the very talented folk rock songwriter and musician Warren Zevon.
Appearance[ | ]
The Zevon is a very round fish, not unlike a puffer fish, and has a dangling light hanging above its head like an anglerfish. Unlike the anglerfish though, they do not use it to lure, and instead seem to use it purely as a way to see in the deep depths. The Zevon has a face similar to a koi that is a light mustard yellow in color. It has two black stripes on the front of its face, and black stripes along its whole body. Its body is a murky brown. It has a long dorsal fin with bumps on either side running parallel to it, colored gray in between the bumps and fin. It also has unusually large pectoral fins, then a tail fan with a relatively small anal fin.

Discovery Menu[ | ]
Encountered in the icy seas of planet McMurray, where Zevon (L. Xenoahae) survives despite the punishing cold. Their lives are short, and these saltwater fish spend their days in a desperate swim to find a willing mate. Scavengers, they feed upon the soft downward drift of plankton; feasting upon the dying remains of tiny organisms.
