Lodes is a star system.
Summary[ | ]
Lodes is a manufacturing star system on the outer rim of the Delta Quadrant in the Euclid galaxy.
The system is under control of the Vasho Ascendancy but supervised by Traveller Bummietje in a joint venture between the Traveller's Guild and the Ascendancy. In an effort to reclaim their lost colony of Rosparla, the Ascendancy has declared war on the sentinels that keep the old breeding colony under lockdown and established minor bases on their former world. The knowledge of the Travellers about local resources in the region and the stream of 'volunteers' their presence offers has led to an unstable friendship between the Ascendancy and the Guild. If it lasts beyond the war is however unknown. Due to the ongoing war distracting the patrols and Traveller traffic being targeted by pirates, its security level is MEDIUM!
Aboard the space station the Traveller's Guild offers weary explorers and freelancers in the war access to research data and nanites inside their server archives and recreation in the botanic garden.
Planets & Moons[ | ]
- The system is overseen by its lone and dead giant of Lodes 1. Mobile mining units descend on the planet to harness its resources for repairs and additional upgrades to the local economy and weapons. Rich in Rubeum, self-made explosives are a favored good in the system against the sentinels. Most of its goods however come from other systems and are only assembled here to fuel the warmachine further. The real war rages in the skies of Rosparla, the once beautiful moon of Lodes 1. With a base radiation of 5.2 Rad and a daylight peak of 6.5 Rad, the planet is far from friendly today. But for the patriotic Ascendancy, the sheer fact it once was their colony is enough to reclaim it by force and fervor. The grave of the Traveller and local hero Esnes-Srin can be found here. He died during an attack of a sentinel fleet in retaliation of his support for the Ascendancy in establishing forward bases on Rosparla.
