The Early Ages (est. 500BC - est. 125AD)

Life on Marthos had existed for centuries by 500BC. However, this was roughly the time period when the first recorded markings were made by sentient beings. These beings, sometimes called Anomalies, had an unclear origin. The earliest of these creatures were primal, just like many of the species which roamed the planet. Because of several challenging characteristics of life on Marthos, the daily routine of an anomaly was often focused on survival. Although the planet typically rests at calm temperatures with a refreshing breeze, occasional boiling storms rage planet-wide. These environmental monsters wreaked havoc on the earliest Anomaly populations. In response, the skin of Anomalies began to adapt to withstand heated waters. The Anomalies themselves adapted as well, making efforts to find or create shelter from these storms. On top of the weather, primal Anomalies had to deal with dangerous predators. Chief among them, was the Bonewolf (scientifically referred to as v. Ptyerrowansum). This predator was extremely vicious during the daytime. They were often found ripping open grazing Calciomeals (both tragically and ironically named for its primary function - feeding Bonewolfs). However, Calciomeals certain weren't the only creature which the Bonewolf enjoyed dining on. Anomalies would satisfy the creatur just as well. None of this mentioning the fact that, at night, these creatures develop an insatiable blood lust which has yet to be explained by scientific study.

Sentinels

Sentinels are infrequent and aren't aggressive.
