The Mythical Plated Kaplar Diplodocus is a creature.

Summary[edit | edit source]

The Mythical Plated Kaplar Diplodocus, a member of the Rangifae genus, can be found on planet Kaplar Two in the Trinivax II system in Eissentam.

Additional Information[edit | edit source]

The extremely radioactive planet Kaplar Two, located in the Trinivax II [NMS-V1-K3-Y] system in the Giseuse Mass region of the Eissentam galaxy, complete with its frequent particle eruptions and extreme night radiation, is home to this enormous Diplodocus species named the Mythical Plated Kaplar Diplodocus.

It must be noted that any visitors are advised to stock up on oxide supplies before heading to Kaplar Two.

Gender[edit | edit source]

This diplodocus features both a rational and female variant.

The larger rational gender with its distinctive cobra style neck stands at an enormous 8.27m high, whilst the smaller female of the species features a distinct plated head and is slightly shorter standing at a still enormous 8.12m high. As a sidenote, the species is named after the female of the species which was discovered first.

The male of the species is now thought to be the largest documented Rangifae found so far in the No Man's Sky universe - though one would wager larger undocumented ones have been discovered, and even larger ones are out there waiting to be discovered.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

They are thought to be a diurnal species, and will only 'appear' during the day (though those found in the day will still linger into the night hours if you stay within proximity of them). They are seemingly completely unfazed by the planet's frequent gamma storms and any passer's by. It is strongly recommended one keeps their distance from the vicinity of the tail of this magnificent beast as it is known to inadvertently swipe it around from time to time, with enough force to knock anyone nearby into kingdom come - which can be particularly nasty if you happen to be on one of the planet's many mountains.

The fauna levels on Kaplar Two are of an 'ordinary' distribution, and thus it is not uncommon to be able to witness a handful or two of these majestic prehistoric creatures grouped together right throughout this planet and its many mountainous regions. In fact, whilst doing a 360° pan around in a lowland basin area on the planet, a total of 15 were spotted in near proximity.

Discovery[edit | edit source]

This species was discovered by the NMS Voyager One crew (i.e. NMS-V1) identified on here as CaernarvonNMS, Reddit as Caernarvon and on Steam as hawkmoon1972.
