Nebulous is an anomalous planet in No Man's Sky.

Summary[ | ]

Nebulous is a planet in the star system Hawthorne on the PS4 version of No Man's Sky universe.

Nebulous is categorized as anomaly because of its low gravity and luminescent flora and minerals. The only known Waypoints are Boundary Failures.

Discovered[ | ]

This planet was discovered by Squeegi001 on July 4th, 2018.

Planet Description[ | ]

Nebulous gets its name from the strange nebula-like clouds that form on its surface. During the day, these clouds are hardly visible. During the night, however, these electric blue storms are easily seen among the beams of light given off by the planet's minerals.

The gravity on Nebulous is anomalous; thus many of the minerals and flora housed on the planet float above its surface. However, this seems to have no effect on the player.

Geology[ | ]

Windowlith

A strange monolith-like formation.

The ground on planet Nebulous, which is primarily pink with brown patches, is routinely interrupted by monolith-like structures formed from stone. While not much data can be gathered on how these structures are formed, it is theorized that strange wind patterns (which likely also cause the nebula clouds to form) eroded stone plateaus to form these strange structures.

The minerals found on the surface of the planet have unusual luminescent and gravitational properties. Able to float, these minerals give off beams of light that dominate the planet's landscape. Despite the dynamic geological formations on the surface of the planet, its caves are small and uncommon. Most of the planet's "caves" are mere trenches that slice through the planet's rolling hills.

Flora[ | ]

The flora on planet Nebulous is difficult to distinguish from other rocks and minerals. Even more strange, they tend to float above the player's height.
