New Aquarius is a civilized space commnuity.

Summary[ | ]

New Aquarius is a civilization located in the Kuungn Conflux, a region in the Gamma quadrant of the Euclid galaxy. New Aquarius borders several regions of the Galactic Hub.

Aquarian territory also includes over 40 abandoned systems in the Ancient Aquarius region now known as the Nedza Fringe (formerly the Nedzacurig Expanse). This region borders several regions of the Legacy Galactic Hub. On August 8, 2017, New Aquarius became the 20th(ish) civilization to join the United Federation of Travelers alliance. Since NEXT, New Aqaurius, has grown to include over 176 systems, 116 of which are within the Kuungn Conflux and Notwertja.

New Aquarius is a society which embraces new citizens, as well as visitors, so long as they abide by the Constitution of New Aquarius (see "Rules" below).

Background[ | ]

New Aquarius was formed by an Interloper named Da47thAquarian — commonly known as 47aquarian — during the time of the Titan Awakening. Soon after he reached what is now known as the Legacy Galactic Hub for the first time and explored the area, he quickly realized that, while space in the 11 main regions of the Hub was limited, there were several regions bordering the Hub that were littered with "unsettled Space".

After nomadically drifting through several of these regions, he settled what was then named the Nedzacurig Expanse — (now the Nedza Fringe) — in what became the capital of New Aquarius; a system now known as AQUA-K-F9 Aquamarine. After the Titan Awakening, during the Second Great Reset, Aquamarine was decimated, along with many other systems throughout the galaxy. As a result, the once-lush Capitol planet Steez was reduced to a nuclear wasteland.

After word spread that the Galactic Hub was relocating, the Aquarian Council decided to move New Aquarius as well. On August 20, 2017, New Aquarius citizens packed their bags, deconstructed their bases and farms, and deserted the region now known as Ancient Aquarius, in an event we call the Great Aquarian Migration. New Aquarius scouts then scoured the neighboring regions of the new Galactic Hub, searching for a suitable new capital system. On August 22, 2017, the scouts located a viable system, which was named AQUA1-CD Juturna. In this system, a mountainous, wintry capitol planet was settled and named Khione.

On June 19, 2018 the New Aquarius capital system was moved to AQUA1-!-FA Compendium. A lush moon, renamed Earth-47, was colonized and served as the capital planet of New Aquarius until the NEXT update.

On July 24th, 2018, several New Aquarius council members took part in the Galactic Hub Ark Program in order to locate new territory. After the Galactic Hub decided on 11 regions for its territory, the Huburb regions known as the Kuungn Conflux and Notwertja were claimed and colonized in the name of New Aquarius. The previous region was abandoned, and is now known as Atlas Aquarius.

On August 26th, 2018, a referendum was held to determine which of 3 suitable planets/systems would become the NEXT-era — and hopefully permanent — capital. The planet Doho, located in the system AQUA1-7F Altera, was voted in as the new capital planet.
