Oria V is a planet.

Summary[ | ]

Oria V is one of the many procedurally-generated planets in the No Man's Sky universe shown in the pre-release videos.

A tropical planet, Oria V is covered with orange flora as well as giant red palm trees. The water and atmosphere share a distinctive lime color. The planet was first shown in the No Man's Sky E3 Gameplay Trailer in 2014, displaying a cave system in which Heridium could be mined. Oria V is located in the Paroi Major system.

Notable locations[ | ]

Oria V Caves - Inside the Oria V Caves the player has the option to mine Heridium (and possibly other resources). It has also been revealed by Sean Murray, the founder of Hello Games, that this cave system may trap players for a very long time if they are not careful, as the cave system extends like a labyrinth for miles underneath the ground, making it very difficult to get out.

Flora[ | ]

Oria V is a vibrant planet that consists of red palm trees and red-orange grasses, as well as green shrubs and blue flowers.

Fauna[ | ]

The planet is teeming with wildlife. Gigantic brachiosaurid-like dinosaurs called Daplokarus wander the marsh, while quadrupedal elk-like mammals graze on the red grasses. Small, tusked mammals scurry about in search of food, while a huge rhinoceros-like creature comes charging through the wood.
