Calium spheres like this make ideal pachinko balls, but are much harder to locate than golden/silver spheres.

Project Pachinko is a gamer activity.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Project Pachinko is a construction initiative by the Galactic Hub civilization to create a variety of Pachinko machine-inspired bases in the Galactic Hub's space.

When a poll was posted which asked, "Would you roll a giant golden ball in NMS for a distance of ~6 minutes on a sweltering planet, if there was a giant pachinko machine base at the end to use the ball in?", 79% of the 62 respondents indicated "Yes."

Pachinko balls[edit | edit source]

Sentinel barrel - NOT ideal

Gold (or silver) spheres from Ruins, Calium deposits (especially the more spherical type), and possibly other objects can be used as pachinko balls. Sentinel Barrels (the containers dropped by destroyed drones) are not recommended for use as pachinko balls.

Recommended Location[edit | edit source]

Players are recommended to construct Pachinko Bases on "high-population" planets, planets with a dense concentration of buildings, as this will make it easier for visitors to roll golden/silver spheres or other spherical objects to habitable base sites.

Pachinko Bases[edit | edit source]

Pachinko Bases will be posted here after they are built.
