R. Ephemotwia is a creature.
Summary[ | ]
R. Ephemotwia is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.
It is an especially small member of the Rangifae genus, with some specimens measuring only 0.6m. They can be encountered either on their own or with a few of their kind. As every species on its incandescent home planet, R. Ephemotwia is rather hard to find. The frequent firestorms sweeping planet Utapau may force native creatures to shelter whenever they can.
Appearance[ | ]
[ | ]
The Indeterminate and Unknown genders share the same basic color combination, a mix of orange and blue gray. This coloration allows them to blend into the landscapes of planet Utapau.
Gender Dimorphism[ | ]
Both genders are still easy to differentiate:
- They may share the same coloration, but the Indeterminate and Unknown genders have a different color pattern.
- Both have very distinct head types; a cobra model for the Indeterminate gender and a hammerhead for the Unknown gender.
- The Unknown gender has many spikes on its back, while the Indeterminate has a back with visible bone growths.

Discovery Menu[ | ]
Discovered while exploring the overwhelming heat of planet Utapau. Patient and slow, they nibble and graze in perpetuity as they loll across the plains. Primarily a grazing animal, the poor nutrient levels of their grass-based diet leads them to seek out and lick mineral rich rocks.
Additional Observations: Skin parasites
Location[ | ]
It can be found on the planet Utapau in the HUB2-217 Homer's Odyssey star system.
