Repair is an operation done to technology.

Summary[ | ]

Whenever technology is broken, it must be repaired before it can function once more. Generally, repair costs for a given technology are 50% of its Crafting costs, rounded up, but individual technology pages should be consulted if one is trying to plan ahead for repairs they know they will need to make in the near future.

Damage[ | ]

Technology that has been damaged will usually fail to function at all, though certain fundamental technologies such as Life Support will instead have diminished benefits while damaged. Additionally, damaged technology cannot benefit from Upgrade bonuses, nor can it trigger these bonuses for its neighbours.

Repair Details[ | ]

Repairs are performed on a component basis --- a technology is repaired once all of its components are repaired. For technology in player-owned items, each damaged component will require exactly one type of item to repair. Points of Interest, however, often require two types of items to be turned in at once in order to repair at least one component.

Damaged Containers and the terminals of Abandoned Buildings, unlike other damaged objects, are repaired by removing junk items rather than by supplying useful materials.
