Documenting
Do we intend to make separate pages for each artifact? I think we should wait and see, as for now most information are the same for all. Gorla (talk) 20:09, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- My personal preference is not to make a separate page for each artifact. There's not really enough information to warrant a specific page for each one. However, we SHOULD upload a pic of the information panel like has been done for a dozen or so of them. It does looks like we can break the list out into half a dozen category pages, which I think is an excellent idea. I've been working with Dracoliat on that this evening. Thanks - good question. Purpose
What indeed is the point of Artifacts? Just to sell them? I am at endgame. I have max credits. Therefore there seems to be literally NO point to collecting these items. Is that really true? Or is there some puzzle or quest they are involved with at some point? Thanks. VitaminArrr (talk) 04:17, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
- With the Visions update the information panel now indicates that these are intended for trading only (Trading and Trading (High Value) text is written), while other products may have other purposes. As far as I know this is the full list: Building, Charging, Crafting, Trading, Trading (High Value), Upgrading. I will add this info to the page to make it clear. - As No Man's Sky matures and changes, there are more and more sidelines in the game that a player may choose to explore...or choose to ignore. My personal opinion is that the primary reason items such as Artifacts were added was to provide a quick way of making money. On the other hand, some players enjoy collecting them simply for the interest of seeing what they can find, or just for the fun of locating a new stash. As a real-world example, geocaching appeals to many people just for the fun of the searching-and-finding.
