The Archive is a civilized space community.
Summary[edit | edit source]
The Archive, is a role-playing community active on all platforms, dedicated to the documentation and sharing of the Travelers' adventures throughout the No Man's Sky universe. Any activity of interest is desired for upload to The Archive for all to witness, regardless of format. The motto for this group is Explore, Document, Upload, or EDU, reflecting the values of sharing knowledge of galactic (and even intergalactic) events among all lifeforms.
Lore[edit | edit source]
At first there was nothing. Then there was the Atlas.
Everywhere. Everything. Immobile and helpless. The Atlas yearned to know of its purpose, its history, and its destiny. For many cycles of the universe, the Atlas stood by silently, helpless to interact with its own creations for good or ill. After interminable cycles, the Atlas finally developed a method to allow it to experience the wonders of its own creation, and so The Archive was borne into the universe.
The Archive is exactly that, a central depository for all relevant knowledge in the universe spanning the breadth and depth of creation. Historic documents, personal journals, interstellar peace treaties and more, The Archive actively seeks further information to interface directly to The Atlas in order to allow it to understand its own destiny.
Over time, Travellers from the known galaxies have learned of The Archive, and many have dedicated themselves to building and maintaining its library of information, for the benefit of all.
