Vásano is a star system.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Vásano is a star system in the PS4 version of No Man's Sky.

While it's original name has been lost to history, it's common name is Vásano, meaning "Torment", a name given to it based on the inhospitable conditions of its planets.

Planets[edit | edit source]

Vásano has six planets, with some acting as pairs of celestial "twins", though this is more of a poetic note than a serious one. They are:

  • Erysívi ("Blight"), a desolate planet with no fauna but plenty of plants.
  • Maraméno ("Withered"), a desert planet with large amounts of Vortex Cubes
  • Ákarpos ("Fruitless"), a planet that is notable for its lack of vegetation and abundance of fauna.
  • Vlosyrós ("Grim"), a planet baked by the heat of its star. It has a surprising abundance of fauna.
  • Kryopágima ("Frostbite"), a frozen planet with lush, dense forests and a smattering of animals.
  • Pikrákrýo ("Bittercold"), a twin to the above with forests and fauna.

Space Stations[edit | edit source]

Vásano has a single Korvax Station in orbit close to the planet Maraméno (which makes it slightly easier to harvest and sell large amounts of the Vortex Cubes found on the planet).

Intelligent Life[edit | edit source]

The Orichalcos system is considered firmly within Korvax control, with their presence having been long ago established via Ruins, Monoliths, and other archaeological sites.

Additional Info[edit | edit source]

This system is unforgiving, and requires the following Exosuit upgrades:

  • Coolant Network (Tau+ is recommended)
  • Thermic Layer (Tau+ is almost required for survival on the two frost planets)
  • Shieldboost (Ákarpos in particular has some nasty predators)
