Zarenin (zah-REN-in) is a nuclear planet containing flora and fauna. It is the third planet in the HUB3-G-CC Makonis system. It lies 1,066,452ks from the Makonis space station.
Zarenin has a radioactive atmosphere that still manages to support a wide variety of life forms. Its rolling surface geography is dominated by valleys of pink and orange stone, pitted by large, circular craters containing shallow water, between unusually high mountain ranges. The native flora is sparse for a planet that hosts such a large quantity of indigenous animals.
Atmosphere and climate[ | ]
Surface conditions are radioactive, averaging 5.5 rads of exposure during daytime hours (actually increasing to higher than 6 rads after dark). Submersion in the crater pools further increases exposure 8.6 rads or higher. Surface storms can raise levels to nearly 11 rads, though such storms are infrequent.
Waypoints[ | ]
Zarenin’s population is relatively low and widespread, existing mostly in smaller outposts spread over remote areas of the planet, such as Cikawi Station, Govannen Outpost, and Xawehu Observatory.
