The base is located on the planet ARGoS VII and is one of many bases in the Budullangr galaxy.

The base is unique in the fact that the entire X-shaped base is 20-30 meters off the ground, supported by a single pillar. In addition, there are circular observation rooms on each of the four ends.

The base design was loosely inspired by Starbase K-7 in Star Trek TOS, thus the name: K-7 v2. The interior with long, windowless, white corridors with ladders traversing the different levels was inspired by the interior of the Nostromo from the movie A L I E N.
