Acaindontan
Planet type [ | ]
Acaindontan is an ocean planet with a color scheme that projects coastal living. The ground is white stone that blues and grays as the sun passes overhead. It’s covered with a soft, tawny grass that blows gently in the breeze. The temperature only ranges from 62.2° to 64.8° F, making it a wonderful place to find a perch and take in a sunset. Of course, there are daily storms with their dangerously hot fogs. Those push the temperature to 251.5° F and trigger coolant networks . The land masses range from large continents covered with Waypoints , resources , and caves , to tiny islands that are too small to land on in a starship.
Waypoints [ | ]
Dozinsub Wetlands
As an oceanic planet, Acaindontan has a limited number of waypoints. It does have a great variety of them, though. Galactic trade terminals are found hovering in the wild, at shelters with launch pads , and at the known trading post . Further, all manner of colonial outposts , travel aids , and trail resources have been discovered. Plaques have been discovered both on dry land and underwater.
Acaindontan has the rare distinction of having known waypoints that sit in shallow water, giving the feeling of wetlands or a swamp. There are locations where sea level is just slightly higher than the land elevation; the water is high enough to ripple but low enough that grass protrudes from its surface. The picture here of Dozinsub Wetlands shows an area where both water and grass share the same space, with the waypoint, cargo , and banner all in the water. The background shows where the Dozinsub water mingles with the sea water.
