The Antaurean Imperium strives to create a friendly, peaceful community, built around technological advancement and unlocking the secrets of Atlas. This can be translated, IRL, to game-progression and making the best of your play-through(s). For players who like non-canon lore that tries to unambiguously tie into canon lore, we have that too.

A small, but enduring empire built by the sole survivors of an ancient pre-Korvax humanoid race. There is little hierarchy among them, as the corruption of their predecessors forced the last emperor to disband the Antaurea Senatoria - a sort of Senate, that was willing to submit the former Antaurean Imperial Republic to the invading Gek First Spawn, for their own asylum. As a result, the new Imperium carries similar beliefs to the founding principles of the Korvax collective. However, differing from modern Korvax, they believe the right to individual freedom is sacred. They've been known to operate as a whole for the Imperium, or as freelance independents. The new Imperium is willing to accept all friendly lifeforms as citizens.
As for the old Antaurean Imperial Republic... not much else is known about the time of the original Imperium - as no intact records of its existence have been found - other than the stories told by modern Antaureans, about the era of its end. The original Antaureans existed peacefully along side the early Korvax collective and conquered several hundred thousand Gek and Vy'keen systems alike. The Vy'keen considered the Antaureans noble warriors and worthy adversaries and, in time, a pact of alliance was made.
The Gek First Spawn Empire, however, was already on the way to becoming a behemoth of a war-machine, and sought to make an example of their humanoid enemies. The original Antaurean Empire was one of the first civilizations to suffer the wrath of Gek invasions. Due to the Gek's rapid mass reproductive process, they outnumbered every Antaurean, five thousand to one. It was an interstellar massacre.
In an effort to stop the Gek menace, The Antaurean emperor and his last Praetorian Armada embarked on a suicide mission. Armed with three experimental Omega calibre Quantum-Singularity-Bombs, they charged at the Gek First Command Capital Warships and detonated simultaneously, damaging a nearby Atlas station. This caused a rift in the continuum, alerting the Atlas. Sadly, it did nothing to stop the Gek First Spawn Empire as their Capital Flagship managed to escape. A few hundred pilots of the Praetorian Armada survived the explosion, but were caught in the gravitational pull of the rift. As the Atlas took measures to seal the rift, the Anatureans were caught in its subroutine between the filament of reality and the void of deletion. This caused a series of black holes to open throughout time and space, ejecting the Antaurean starships; only a handful were known to have survived crash-landing on planets in the Euclid galaxy, some time ago.
Today, the new Antaurean Imperium strives to restore its former glory of the sciences, divine architecture, and the art of warfare.
Early, in the year of 2021, the Antaurean Imperium annexed another anomalous organization. By means of mutual agreement, the Golden Guild became an Antaurean household name.
