Astronomical Republic of Jami is a civilized space community.
Summary[ | ]
Astronomical Republic of Jami (ARJ), casually referred to as Jami Jami for short, is a rural Civilized space in No Man's Sky. It is located in the Nomeuxo Terminus region of the Euclid galaxy.
Mission[ | ]
Our mission is to work closely with fellow travelers across the universe to advance research and discoveries throughout the Euclid galaxy.
Background[ | ]
During the initial settlement of the region, the founders came across a Star System named Jonsipla. It was the first-star system they discovered with a habitable lush planet, but they were unable to remember the name generated by the system AI. As a result, they fumbled through the name on many occasions until determining that it was moot to keep the default name. Cadwal concluded that the star system would henceforth be known as Jami Jami because he thought it was close to the actual name.
In retrospect, it is nothing like the actual name, but it sounded cute and fluffy, despite not having any known fluffy or cute animals. Though it does have a bubble planet, which may seem cute, but is actually a terrifying glitch moon that if they could destroy it, they probably would.
This misunderstanding resulted in the formation of the initial Naming Guidelines.
Naming Guidelines[ | ]
The Astronomical Republic of Jami has adopted a hybrid of guidelines for naming Solar Systems within the Nomeuxo Terminus region. ARJ adheres to a few different naming conventions. In order of personal preference:
- Nickname based on the default name of the system/planet/creature
- The ARJ Planetary Naming Guidelines (WIP)
- The default name of the system/planet/creature
Regardless of the method used, it's encouraged to identify all Astronomical Republic of Jami Solar Systems with the [ARJ] identifying marker, followed by the Solar Index Value (the last 4 digits in the coordinate string).
Republic planets claimed that are located beyond this region should only use the identifier [ARJ] with no SIV number.

Membership requires are currently to be determined. Anticipate refinement in the coming weeks. At this time, contact Cadwal for information.
Government[ | ]
ARJ is a modified directorial republic. Its leadership is departmentalized into colleges with an Executive Chief overseeing all colleges. The colleges generally operate independently from one another to ensure their successful individual operations. Until the needs arise, multiple colleges have been merged based on their related aspects.
Due to the current size, ARJ currently consists of two colleges that oversee day-to-day operations. The College of Development & Industrial Affairs and The College of Diplomacy & Tourism.
Cadwal is the Chief Executive and oversees the College of Diplomacy and Tourism. As Chief Executive, he oversees the day-to-day operations, and he is responsible for managing relations with other established civilizations and the promotion of tourism to the Nomeuxo Terminus region. Cadwal has filled a variety of roles through the years, including Warrior of Light, guild leader, and a crafter of mines.
Ralij is the Executive for the College of Development and Industrial Affairs. He is responsible for overseeing the development of bases in the region, supply acquisition, and industrial trade. Ralij has extensive experience managing large scale mining expeditions and exploring the depths. His unique experiences prepared him for this role.
