Avumadisco Soussuati is a creature.

Summary[ | ]

This diplo species is native to the frozen forest planet Asgard, in the HUB7-V-4D Asgard system.

The species is also known as the Atlas Rises Diplo due to being discovered on August 8, 2017, the same day the Atlas Rises update for NMS was announced. At ~3.6m, this diplo can't quite be considered megafauna, but is still larger than your average non-megafauna diplo.

Appearance[ | ]

Both genders feature medium-sized tails, "standard" diplo feet (three sauropod-like toes), white coloration on the anterior half of the body, and golden yellow coloration on the posterior half. Both genders display tiger-like stripes on the dorsal aspect of its tail, torso, and head.

Gender differences[ | ]

The Exotic gender, larger of the two, features a broad and flat head. This feature may stem from some kind of symbiotic relationship with a fungus, or it may be a sensory organ or temperature regulating mechanism. The species has no visible eyes, and flat teeth. Due to the large size of its head and lack of any prominent dorsal features, the tiger-like stripes are much more apparent on this gender.

The Radical gender features "sails," or skin-covered spines, on its back (around the spinal area), on the anterior aspect of the neck (lower half), posterior aspect of the neck (upper half), and a frill around the head. The top of its head is striped, but because it is much smaller than the Exotic gender's head, it's not immediately noticeable. This gender has blue-green eyes, with green bands around the eyes.
