Game Description
Thrives on planet Buyth Delta, despite the constant acid rain. Gentle, friendly creatures, they are always happy to interact with other living beings. Primarily a grazing animal, the poor nutrient levels of their grass-based diet leads them to seek out and lick mineral rich rocks.
Gender Dimorphism
The two genders of the Tantalium appear quite different, with the crested Asymptotic and the spiked-back Vectorized.
The crested Asymptotic has a regal half-oval headpiece, believed to be used to amplify sound entering the creature's ears, and to allow its own communications to resonate more loudly and distinctly. It has fins across its back, shaped like the dorsal fins of Earth sharks, and additional fins along the underside of its neck appearing like "conks" growing on a tree trunk.
The Vectorized spiked-back is the more defense-oriented of the appearance types. It has protective large spikes protruding along its arched back. The flowy "sail" on the back of its neck is mere adornment, but the "frills" at the base of its neck are a large part of its defensive posture. It uses the frills to appear more large and imposing to potential attackers.
Location
It can be found on the planet Buyth Delta in the HUB7-B Hitabe star system.
