Delta Polaris is an inhabited star system.

Summary[ | ]

Delta Polaris is a manufacturing star system at the end of the Delta meridian in the Euclid galaxy. It is the extreme coordinate for the Delta Spiral and one of the cornerstones of Euclid. It lies directly at The Fade and borders its western region, the Rismana Terminus.

Today, the system is back under authoritarian control and supervision by Vy'keen Officer Hernl. At his side is the strong and reliable Vy'keen Lieutenant Laz who serves as his second in command as part of the police state and watches over the installations. Meanwhile, Ensign Oyaoblung takes care off the patrols and fleets inside of the system. Gek Assistant Hondviga takes care of matters of trade and diplomacy. Despite this new leadership and show of force most local authorites still see fighting amongst 'tourists' as perfectly fine and only stop the most dishonorable of the bunch. This leisure does ultimately not harm the economy.

Aboard the space station the Vy'keen offer all luxuries of modern space travel, including a marketplace and a teleporter terminal. An Atlas server supports the station near the main office.

The former embassy under Taveller Ascussacr of the The Traveller's Guild and the Guardians has been closed by the police state and the Traveller's left most of the system. The reason remains unknown.

History[ | ]

This section is Fan Fiction. The information found here is not an actual part of the released game, but a user-invented addition to the wiki.

PC Original: Ulutette

Some time after the temporal anomaly N07E24-X20T18, the former Ensign Tasairt had been displaced by a popular candidate from the local Vy'keen worlds. With the retreat of the military regime of the Vy'keen navy, the system became more open. Not only the Traveller's Guild established an embassy, Gek traders and researchers followed the new open policy. Despite his grim name, the only enemy Anwen truly slaid was the isolationist and hostile attitude of the former government. Delta Polaris was about to prosper.

Yet, soon the tide changed. The economy remained stagnant and the pseudo anarcho-democratic system did not work out for most Vy'keen. A coalition of Vy'keen, unable to beat Enemy Slayer Anwen directly, banded together to oust him in a coup and aligned the local keys of power to cut off all his other influence. Anwen was ultimately killed and soon both his loyalists and former allies were banished from the system, including the Traveller's Guild. The reason why even the supragalactical and mostly neutral entity had to go remained unknown and unanswered. While the Gek would retain a seat among the echelon of this new police state, their influence was severely checked by the huge apparatus of positions and people brought on by the new Officer Hernl. This was a state of the Vy'keen, for the Vy'keen. Gek were just a means of profit. While Korvax still remain in Delta Polaris, most have left the station and only one or two can be seen betimes.

Planets & Moons[ | ]

  • Sefi once was a caustic world devoid of fauna. Due to the temporal anomaly, the former world of Skylank is now a frozen ringworld with many new creatures born from the Atlas' defragmentation. Its boreal storms reach temperatures down to -100°C.
  • Ruwick Delta was a lot colder before the temporal anomaly. The former world of Nayoshi has become an acidic world full of life.
  • Otle IX has been reborn as the new gaia world of the system. The former Ukudadu was just another caustic world before the temporal anomaly.
  • Ocer has become a desert world, but with renewed life upon its DANGEROUS surface. Once it was Delta Polaris Prime, the pangean gaia world of warm 30.2°C. During sunstorms the heat could reach 156.4°C. But Vy'keen hunting parties had forced all major life into extinction. Now none of it matters anymore.
  • Educerin still remains the radiated world it was before. A useful planet to resupply for Uranium.
  • Ceyrasen is a radiated pangean world newly formed during the Atlassian birth cycle of OR23I09-GI20NS20.
    • Oceanic climate 15+°C
    • Atmospheric radiation of 5.3 Rad
    • Home to a small drillworm species
