Edaemon VII is a planet.

Summary[ | ]

Edaemon VII is a large charred planet in the star system Egionetsk. It is notable for having two rare megafauna species.

Alias names[ | ]

All Original: Edaemon VII
PC Current: Edaemon VII

Planet Information[ | ]

Original description: A magnificently hellish oceanic world eternally choked in highly volatile incendiary dust. Befitting of its seed name, a demonic looking species of grunts dominate a planet that is quite literally, hell.

Explorer Bison's notes: "This is the worst out of everything in this system. Just breathing the air here will literally engulf you in flames. When a firestorm hits, things just burn to a crisp. And life here doesn't care as if it's just another day at work.

This... is the embodiment of hell."

Geology[ | ]

Edaemon Surface1

Tall mountains and craters are everywhere in this beautiful hell.

Edaemon VII is a continental charred planet, having sizable landmasses separated by vast oceans. The continents are water-logged, having many lakes and winding rivers. Some lakes can be deep enough for Kelp Sac to grow.

Lofty peaks tower over the rolling plains, occasionally forming mountain ranges and valleys. Some of the mountains resemble volcanoes. Some are buttes, having a relatively flat area of land on the top. They're excellent spots for building homes with epic views of the powerful firestorms that plague the planet. Below the mountains are rolling plains and small hills filled with highly volatile incendiary dust.

Caves, usually a primary source of Cobalt, are on the rare side.

The large number of craters scattered throughout the land implies that in the past, the planet was either bombarded by space objects or has hyperactive volcanic activity. Some of the mountain ranges even resemble massive craters, as if a huge asteroid struck. It could also be a massive caldera. It is be implied that the planet has an extremely violent past. The formation of its two moons is the result of a violent collision with another celestial body. Remnants of it are still felt to this day, in the form of a superheated and volatile ground and atmosphere.

Underwater[ | ]

Edaemon VII Gorgeous Underwater

The ocean depths is teeming with all sorts of life. No sentient sponge species can be found here though.

Through the incendiary dust that chokes the planet are oceans of an unknown coral-peach colored liquid with a unique trait - its color changes to a brilliant bloody crimson at sunrise or sunset. Fortunately, it doesn't have explosive properties, is inert and is a fantastic insulator. It also has a very, very high boiling point, currently unknown. Temperatures above the water surface can range from 100.8-325.6C (213.4-618.1F) but it quickly goes down to a much friendlier 37.8C even at just 10m below the surface.

It is quite resource rich, as Cyto-Phosphate is found in high numbers. Only a few planets have much higher underwater resources than this one.

The seas and oceans of this planet has some of the most spectacular views one will ever see. It is described by tourists as plush, having a rather luxurious look and feel. Just a few steps away from land, one can see beautiful pulsating cores that create a light show at night, as long as there isn't too much dust around. The further away from land and deeper one goes, the more lively things get. Really tall Cyto-Phosphate-based Kelp plants start appearing. Kelp Sac Candelabra Blooms light up the ocean floor. Coral-like objects that resemble Capilliary Shells sprawl the ocean floor. There are even the occasional Cable Pods like the ones found in Sebaddo Utsus. But most notable of all are the unusual spheroid structures that seem inhabited at first glance. Strangely enough, they resemble a sentient sponge's home from an alternate reality, with some having lighted windows and chimneys.

The underwater life here is a little on the strange side due to the presence of swimming cows. Red seaweed are everywhere. It is believed they are the reason for the planet's peach-colored oceans, as they cause a chemical reaction that turns the liquid into a non-explosive, inert insulator.

The biggest mystery of all is the origin of liquid in the first place, and this has baffled Eyfert Khannate scientists. With such a violent past, any liquid formation seems impossible. Further studies are ongoing to solve it. The most accepted theory so far is the planet's quiet phase, before the violent event. The liquid must've been there already in the first place. But how it managed to stay a liquid is a mystery.

Atmosphere and Climate[ | ]

Edaemon Incendiary Dust

The air is filled with incendiary dust. Do NOT inhale! This is what the planet's surface looks like on a good day.

The planet's violent past still lingers. Add the relatively close distance to the parent star and the unusually high solar flare activity, significantly higher than Olmasa-Naz, and the result is a planet that literally explodes each time a flare hits. Incendiary dust chokes the supposedly earth-like blue skies in black soot, reducing visibility to near-zero when a firestorm or explosion event occurs. The dust is so volatile, simply inhaling it will cause instant death in the form of an explosion. The climate is hot, hot, hot all over regardless of location, with temperatures ranging from a steamy 100.8C at night and shooting up to a scorching 325.6C during a firestorm at noon.

Things to Do[ | ]

Edaemon VII PilgrimMountainJump

It looks like there is no surface. That's how bad the visibility is during a firestorm.

Appreciating the beauty and majesty of such a hostile planet is an acquired taste. Only the bravest, strongest and most well-prepared can go here as there are many things that can go lethally wrong during a visit. The minimum requirements for visiting this planet are very, very high:

But once everything is ready, then the fun begins. The planet has so many things to offer, from the ubiquitous gargantuan megafauna to the tall, craggy peaks and the beautiful underwater scenes that resemble a dystopian and bloody version of a place in an alternate reality where at the bottom of the ocean, no bikinis can be found.

Get to know the planet's charming fauna. Lots of blob creatures known as Mickey Blob can be found happily praising the sun and enjoying the heat, showing their epic 'stache and mouse-like ears with frivolous joy. Though they can sometimes leave trails of really sticky goop, they're blobs after all. But the most notable fauna species is a giant demonic grunts. Unlike most grunts, these ones are "Wise", having some form of sentience. Despite their appearance, they're actually quite friendly.

Get your blood pumping and prepare for the most adrenaline-filled exocraft thrill ride of your life. While the planet Sebaddo Utsus has similar topographical features, Edaemon VII is rougher and craggier. Combined with the epic firestorms and explosion events, Exocraft enthusiasts, particularly Pilgrim fans, are going to have a blast here, both literally and figuratively. Jumping on top of lofty peaks is a quite a joy, especially with the firestorms adding more tension and adrenaline to the experience. For the bravest and most insane drivers, experiencing an explosion event while jumping off a mountain is one of the best sources of high-risk thrill. Because the planet doesn't have the environmental preservation of Sebaddo Utsus, everyone can have near-unlimited exocraft fun here, as long as they are of exceptionally exceptional build quality to withstand the extreme conditions.

Go underwater and be amazed by its plush and unforgettable sights. Fans of exploring the ocean depths will love this planet. The seas and oceans here have some of the most beautiful views one will ever see. Befitting of the planet's extreme conditions, bizarre pulsating cores are scattered throughout the ocean floor, emitting a strange but beautiful crimson light. Rock formations that vaguely resemble the home of a sentient sponge from an alternate reality are common. They seem to be inhabited by a resident, as some of them have chimneys and windows that emit light. Finally, there are plenty of complex and maze-like underwater caves that go deeper into the abyss. Just be careful not to get lost and ensure more than adequate supplies in case that happens.

Life[ | ]

Edaemon VII Megafauna

The planet's dominant fauna species can be seen in the background, blending in very well with the heat storm.

Despite the extremely hostile climate of the planet, life has evolved in unique ways to adapt to such circumstances. The two dominant species are, strangely enough, megafauna. A giant 8.1m blob creature and a terrifying, demon-like 6.0m grunt.

Bases[ | ]

Despite the terribly harsh conditions of the planet, there is a lot of construction ongoing due to rapid development. The most recent completed base is the Eyfert Khannate Power House, the civilization's new seat of power. It is the paragon symbol of perseverance, as it stands proud against the onslaught of firestorms and explosions.

Current bases in the planet:
Legend: WIP = Work in Progress, C = Complete, RU = Recently updated, NLE = No longer exists

Lore[ | ]

This section is Fan Fiction. The information found here is not an actual part of the released game, but a user-invented addition to the wiki.

Edaemon VII is a planet accidentally discovered when one of the scouts was doing a community mission related to exploring. Since its discovery, the Eyfert Khannate citizens are expressing their desire to change the capital planet from Gloss X to this one, as there is barely any progress in the construction of the capitol since the great civil war. After a unanimous decision by the government and people to move the capital, things progressed quickly and smoothly, as the new seat of power is built along with a interplanetary FISD Network, the relocation of the "Negyarm Cannon" Superweapon and the establishment of the headquarters of various powerful megacorporations, formerly located in Apstey-Sovos.

Initially though, things didn't go too smoothly, as the planet is also inhabited by a less technogically advanced but still formidable species of demi-human demonoids, who fought against the army. But after showing them who's boss (minimal casualties thankfully), careful negotiations and sharing of important knowledge between the two races, peace and prosperity followed shortly, though both species are still a little wary of each other. The Kinderkins are particularly concerned with the Strider Demonoid race.

Cooperation with the Demonoids resulted in them learning the vast wonders of space travel and implementing their knowledge to further improve existing technologies. It opened their eyes on a new and exciting prospect they thought is just impossible, as they have been unable to escape their home planet despite their best efforts, as the conditions are just too harsh for launching the species' first spaceship. On the Kinderkin side, they are able to learn how to harness free, clean and renewable energy from Storm Crystals, significantly reducing cost, maintenance, pollution and waste production from power sources on extreme-weather planets and moons. Most importantly, they discover a new source of power - Magic.
